Lulu was puzzled with the "unanimously agreed" bit cos the panelists included PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang and former Perlis mufti Dr Asri Zainul Abidin, and we all know their views on this.

You and I may know the truth about what PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang, former Perlis mufti Dr Asri Zainul Abidin and PKR supreme council member Dr Mohd Nur Manuty's views are, but do you think they will print this clarification in Utusan? Utusan is THE newspaper for the Malay heartland, and as long as no correction is done, the Malay heartland, thinking that it was a no reservations unanimous decision, will not understand and view Lulu suspiciously for being one of those who believe that Allah is for all.

If Lulu Were To Believe What They Are Saying, Then Lulu Is Very Concerned About Najib's Plan For More Economic Activity With Saudi

In Malaysia, there are those who believe that Allah specifically refers to God in Islam.
For them, “Allah” refers to the one Muslim God, despite the views of those in other religions.
That the issue of the use of the word “Allah” is very sensitive to the Muslims. Many are offended.
Catholics were advised to be careful in executing the decision because the Muslims are sensitive if the word Allah is linked to anything that is improper.
Just because it is ok in the Indonesia and the Arab nations, does not make it right in Malaysia as the Malays here are different.
They fear that Christians are trying to win converts by using the word “Allah.” They say Muslim believers could be confused by the use.

If Lulu were to believe those arguments, then Lulu would strongly urge Najib to rethink this policy direction in getting Malaysia to look towards Saudi to develop economic ties.

In Saudi, the word "Allah" is used in churches.
Its dangerous there. A Malay Muslim Malaysian business seeker upon hearing the word Allah used may venture into a church thinking it is a mosque.
Can't blame him cos in Malaysia, the government is trying to disallow the word "Allah" in churches, encouraging the Muslims to think that the usage is exclusive for a Muslim context.
Najib and his cabinets and his MPs and his religious councils should not allow their brethren anywhere near these countries. Let them stick to UK and the Vatican where they say that even the Queen and the Pope does not refer to God as Allah.

Once Again, Maybe Lulu Watching Too Many Hong Kong Triad Movies

Not sure if you caught it, but Operation Undercover was shown on telly a few days ago. Lulu watched it a few years ago at the cinema and enjoyed it very much.
There's a scene in the movie where Jordan Chan [hold on. lulu's heart fluttering a bit cos he so "man". fan self, fan self], a muddled gangster chief, was asked to arrange some gangster supporters in a triad discussion with their rivals. At the discussion table, he recognised some of his hired "thugs" standing on the rival's side. And on his side, cos he was unable to get enough thugs, had hired some white haired uncles and aunties dressed to look young with caps to hide the white. The "thugs" pula couldnt stop giggling at what was supposed to be a tense standoff.

Home Ministry to allow protests against ‘Allah’ ruling

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 6- The Home Ministry will allow a public demonstration against the “Allah” ruling, planned by Muslim groups this Friday at the Kampung Baru mosque here, to proceed and will only take action if “things get out of hand.”

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein Onn (pic) told a press conference here at a post-Cabinet meeting that the developments will be monitored and that action will only be taken if the need arises.

“There is a balance that needs to be addressed. We (the Home Ministry) have faced this situation before. Right now, if you do not allow the protest, it will cause a lot of emotional reaction. But if you also allow it, it might turn into a security threat,” explained Hishammuddin.

The Home Minister asserted that the core issue was the issue of safety of the country, and that the group had already been advised against the protest.

maybe the "bukan budaya kita" are protests, demonstrations and vigils which are peaceful eg Bersih, ISA vigils and the oil hike demo.
and the "budaya kita" are like the ones where khairy demanded to see conderezza rice with his fella burning the us flag, where people drag a cow head and stomp on it and an ex-selangor mb goes to penang to protest against something which arose from bad reporting.

dont drag it too long. one day is sufficient grace to let him think it through.
