Lulu's Not Finished With Semi Value Yet

insomnia-lar. That's why there are posts in the middle of the night.
It's been confirmed - Lulu cant sleep if she take chinese tea at night. How Lulu knows? erh... well, she had chinese tea during dinner. It's now 3:35am and she cant sleep. It happens everytime.

so, anyway, to continue with matters of semi-value...
Malaysiakini reports his boast
The MIC president also revealed how he had helped secure the release of four students detained with scores others in the wake of the Hindraf rally.
Thirty-one detainees were later charged with the attempted murder of a policeman, but this was subsequently dropped.
Samy Vellu said this happened because he spoke to the prime minister and attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail
Lulu doesnt know which is scarier
The 4 kids were rightfully and justly arrested, and then a politician from the ruling party has enough clout/power/whatever to speak to the PM and the AG and due to his influence, the charges are dropped
and mind you, in cases of law and justice, the judiciary is supposed to be independant of politics meaning its no business of the PM's
OR
we live in a despot nation where charges can be created and dropped by those who are in power.

either way, this is wrong-wrong-wrong and needs to be corrected.
[btw, if it was the earlier option, Razak Baginda must be regretting that he's friend of Najib and not friend of Samy]

You Know How Lulu Can Tell If The Attendees Were Being Honest & Truthful & Forthright & Brave

so far, according to the news update on the Star, NST and Malaysiakini, we have
1. release the Hindraf 5
2. establish a committee aimed at reviewing and analysing the community’s needs and requests

erhm....
Lulu would think that if those 150 division heads were being honest and truthful and forthright and brave, wouldn't the call for the one aka SemiValue to resign be ringing loud and clear?
Guess everyone's not brave enough to tie the bell around the cat's neck.
Either that, or these 150 division heads are good guys who believe in the democratic process of letting the next party AGM deal with the president.
Yar, and the cow jumped over the moon.

Lulu Thinks The PM Is Truly, Truly Pathetic

"The transparency, open tender and open bidding approach is certainly good and gives comfort to everyone but we have to remind them that not everything that is said to be equitable is fair. Actually, only the strong and those with financial capacity will benefit from it."

- our useless PM, speaking at a thanksgiving dinner attended by about 2,000 people in Sungai Dua, Pulau Pinang

History has shown us that whenever UMNO is in trouble, those who feel goyang-ed will attempt to "unite" the members by targeting their hate on someone else, causing them to be distracted from the problems of their own party.

Looking at the deep, deep pit that the UMNO president is currently in, it's no wonder that he's trying to rouse up the anger of the Malays by making stupid idiotic speeches like these.

Afterall, look at all those corridor-corridor that he was cooking up to fill the gravy train. Who were the beneficiaries of those projects?
Weren't they the "strong" and "those with financial capacity"?
Pathetic, our PM is truly pathetic. He should be ashamed of himself.

Lulu hopes the people who can vote him out [those UMNO chaps-la, not the voters at Kepala Batas] will continue to goyang him and give him sleepless nights.

Nope. No Miss Nice Lulu Here

reading this piece of news in Malaysiakini made Lulu very, very, very angry.very, very angry.

Lulu doesnt know if the person who was handling the land portfolio under the previous state administration and was also the ex-Deputy Chief Minister in Penang is the big ass culprit behind this or not.

But Lulu can safely guess that its the same IDIOT who together with another idiot orchestrated protests in Penang claiming that the Malays in Penang were oppresed by the "chinese" government led by Gerakan.
This idiot was probably one of the vocal Umno leaders involved in the illegal demonstration against the DAP-led state government near Komtar on Friday March 14.
And this idiot probably called on the Penang Malays to defend the New Economic Policy and Malay privileges, which supposedly have come under threat from the new state government.

Lulu hopes that the Gerakan fellas in Penang will squeal like rats and sing like canaries on whoever the chief idiot is and the rest of the idiots who enriched themselves at the expense of the people they proclaim they defend. Why not? Dont they believe that they lost the state because of UMNO's arrogance? Isn't it payback time?

and Lulu hopes that justice will be upon them and that they will pay greatly for their misdoings.

and whilst Lulu would have liked to see them hang upside down by their toes, Lulu thinks the wrath of those they cheated spewed upon them would be a greater punishment.

Lulu hopes the day will come soon.
grrr..... Lulu's still very angry

updated - Lulu Will Turn Down Daniel Wu's Marriage Proposal

Bernama reported last week that

KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- Umno Youth vice-head Khairy Jamaluddin said he would not accept any offer to join the Cabinet as long as Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is the Prime Minister.
Khairy, who is also the Member of Parliament for Rembau, said he had informed his father-in-law of the matter before the general election on March 8, and Abdullah had acepted his stand.
http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v3/news_lite.php?id=321382

Lulu, the slow thinker [see, it took her a week to figure out what she was wondering about] began wondering, not exactly sure what she was wondering about but left to wonder that there was something to wonder over.

Then Lulu realised roughly where her confusion lies.
The PM had recently reiterated strongly that Khairy Jamaluddin had never been an influence in whatever he has done or decision he has made http://web7.bernama.com/bernama/v3/news_lite.php?id=319844

But here is Khairy boasting that he had informed his father-in-law of the matter before the general election on March 8, and Abdullah had acepted his stand

the two scenarios on lulu's pretty little mind is

a) Khairy was supposed to be a part of the cabinet line up
but because he-who-has no-influence-on his-fil spoke to the fil before the elections, and this influenced the he-who-is-not-influenced-by-sil to conciously leave him out of the cabinet though he was a "deserving" candidate to be in the cabinet.
Meaning that he-who-has-no-influence does have influence and that he-who-claims-he-is-not-influenced is not a very truthful man.

b) Khairy was never a part of the intended cabinet
and he was just being perasan when informing the father-in-law and the public that he would not accept any offer to join the Cabinet as long as Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is the Prime Minister.
After all, if the PM did feel that his sil is the best candidate for the job, he should have gone ahead and named him, just like how he did for Tengku Azlan and Anifah who later declined the post.
You know how this kind of "i would not accept any offer to join" statement gives the impression that an offer was going to be made when no offer was on the table.

Kinda like Lulu going around telling people that she will turn down Daniel Wu [swoon...] 's (pic at the side... swoon again...) marriage proposal - not like Daniel Wu [swoon...] even knows who Lulu is, erh... much less ask for Lulu's hand in marriage..

dunno-la, Lulu thinks (b) may be the more likely scenario, cos our much esteemed and respected hadhari PM won't lie, right?

For all those who know not who Daniel Wu is, or think that that picture does not do justice to his lengchai-ness, here's one for you!

swoon-swoon-swoon...

Lulu Wonders If The Star Got No Friends

Rocky has friends. He broke the news at 11:00am.
Pak Lah concedes another defeat
Idris Jusoh, say bye to the MB's office: -The PM, who was granted an audience with the Agong before this morning's weekly Cabinet meeting, has agreed to the Palace's choice for MB, Ahmad Said.
The Malaysian Insider has friends. Several of them...
Several people familiar with details of the meeting said Sultan Mizan said that he had no intention of causing problems for the government, and also added that some people were trying to convince him to take more drastic action to break the impasse. But it was not his intention to stoke the fire, he said
the Star?
up to 2:39pm, the Star still has no word yet on its outcome. No according to "anonymous sources", "sources close to the palace", nothing. zilch.

Lulu Looking At The Importance of Punctuation

this book was a best seller a few years ago.
The title comes from a story about a panda in a cafe.
The panda eats a sandwich, fires a gun in the air and walks towards the door. When the waiter asks in confusion what he thinks he’s doing, the panda throws him a badly punctuated book on wildlife: “Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves”.

The placement of punctuations, and whilst Lulu is at is, capital words [ABC vs abc] can make a difference in the meaning of a sentence.

For eg,
the headline Rafidah not sure about Azalina’s Wanita status would carry a very different meaning if the caps were not placed correctly. Can you imagine if the proofreader got sloppy and the headline came out as "Rafidah not sure about Azalina’s wanita status"?

and Lulu's seen quite a number of "UMNO" banners around PJ and KL
The new ones are asking people to rally support behind the PM, probably in reaction to the old ones which you can view here
There was one which Lulu saw, and the bit that Lulu remembers was
BERSATU TEGUH BERCERAI ROBOH HIDUP PAK LAH
there were no punctuation on it.
could it be that the banner was a call for a stronger marriage for Pak Lah, that "Bercerai, roboh hidup Pak Lah"? oh dear...

Lulu Thinks Kerismuddin Should Go On Holiday/Be Unreacheable Just In Case The Press Ask For His Reaction On The Trengganu Issue

[wow! that was a long title]

the Terengganu palace today announced that Kijal state assemblyperson Ahmad Said has been appointed the new menteri besar of the state.

Malaysiakini
And in an immediate reaction, all 22 BN state assemblypersons who backed Jertih state representative and incumbent menteri besar Idris (photo) are believed to be toying with the idea of boycotting the ceremony.

Malaysian Insider
Already, the 22 Umno assemblymen said that they will boycott the swearing-in ceremony if the palace goes ahead and appoints Ahmad Said.

Utusan Malaysia
Kesemua 23 Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Barisan Nasional akan memulaukan majlis angkat sumpah Menteri Besar esok kerana membantah tindakan tidak melantik semula Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.

well, when Lim Kit Siang called for the boycott in Perak [which in the end, he did apologise to the Regent for], many smart mouth UMNO chaps jumped at the opportunity to condemn LKS.
Kerismuddin said,
“DAP secara terang tidak bertanggungjawab dan tidak menghormati kedudukan kesultanan Melayu.
“Niat memulaukan istiadat pelantikan juga menunjukkan mereka hanya gilakan kuasa sehingga sanggup membelakangkan kesetiaan kepada raja dan negara,”
katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.
http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/arkib.asp?y=2008&dt=0314&pub=utusan_malaysia&sec=muka%5Fhadapan&pg=mh_01.htm&arc=hive

after condemning LKS so harshly, if Lulu were Kerismuddin, Lulu would make sure she's unreachable by the press.
Afterall, the Trengganu chaps are doing the very act that Kerismuddin says "menunjukkan mereka hanya gilakan kuasa".

Headlines Like These Make Lulu Wonder

hmm... what next? a reminder to breathe in, breathe out?
what is there to "remind them to stay away from corruption"?
They're not supposed to do it. full stop.

It makes Lulu wonder, if he thinks any one of those "esteemed" ministers and deputy ministers are susceptible to corruption, why did he choose them in the first place?

Lulu Must Remember Not To Talk So Loudly When Star Reporters Are Around

kinda embarassing the conversations that these Star reporters overhear and put to print

eg Shahidan's wife's conversation with him

Shamsiah walked out of the hall into the porch, sobbing as husband and wife connected on their cellphones.
“Why does it have to be this way, Shahidan?’’Shamsiah walked out of the hall into the porch, sobbing as husband and wife connected on their cellphones.
“Why does it have to be this way, Shahidan?’’ she asked him.
“Why does Tuanku (Syed Sirajuddin Putra Syed Jamalullail, Raja of Perlis) have to get involved ? can you ask him what wrong you have done to him, or to the people of Perlis?’’ a distressed Shamsiah told her husband.
As she calmed down, Shamsiah sat at the porch table to talk about her husband’s troubles with the Perlis royalty, namely Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad and Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid, the two ministers from Perlis.
This is disrupted by another call from Shahidan. The discussion gets more intense.
“Then you tell them that you do not want anything. They can keep all to themselves. Tell that you are not interested!’’ Shamsiah pleads with her husband in English, as Perlis Umno executive secretary Pawani Akma Said nodded. she asked him.

the more lulu reads the shahidan-wifey conversation, the more lulu laughs cos it sounds so drama minggu ini. try reading it in a dmi melodramatic tone, and lulu thinks you'd be laughing too.

in a not-so-direct quote for quote case, Rafidah

Instead, it only made Rafidah more furious resulting in a heated exchange of words over the telephone that may have damaged relations between the two women for some time to come. Rafidah apparently accused Shahrizat of stabbing her in the back.
Have to warn you though, Lulu's conversations not so interesting. It would more likely revolve around
"sigh... Why can't that Han Kyul just accept the fact that Ko Eun Chan is really a girl and move on?" and "Aiyoh... all Ko Eun Chan does is cry. Am getting a bit tired of all that crying."
Feeling lost? After all those elections-ing days, Lulu got herself hooked on Coffee Prince

Maybe Lulu A Bit Different Compared To OKC

Lulu has 4 sisters.
We don't see each other everyday. Sometimes, weeks pass before we meet up. But we do talk on the phone or drop a mail or something like that.
If one of us was making a very important decision, the other would rally to support.

Lulu finds it very hard to believe that in the case of these two brothers, when the younger brother is making such an important decision [well, it is an important decision at least for the family and their party], advise, support and recommendation was not made face to face or through phone calls, but via sms-es.
Well, Lulu just has to accept that not everyone is like Lulu

Lulu Feeling Faint Over What Najib Declares As A "mencerminkan keprihatinan kerajaan Barisan Nasional (BN) terhadap kehendak dan aspirasi rakyat" Cabi

that's not the end of the story
in the same article,

Lulu Hates It When She Has To Take The Really Good With The Really Bad

It was a pleasant surprise to see Zaid Ibrahim named in the new cabinet line-up. Many, like Lulu, have a great respect for him.

oh... but the bad was really really bad.
Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib named Rural and Regional Development Minister.
Do a google on his name. Read his rave reviews. Lulu thinks there's hardly any Malaysian who does not know about his infamous suitcase and his command of the English language.
Lulu cannot fathom why the "I will change" PM has put him in. The reasons that Lulu can think of is
1. he has some hidden debt to Muhammad Muhammad Taib
2. it is the PM's act of vengeance on netizens considering how much we love Muhammad Muhammad Taib

Lulu looked up the Ministry that this MMT [lol! am empty???] will helm. Link here
Lulu is very worried
Lulu is worried that rural development under his helm will come with "extra charges"
Lulu is worried that none of these [noble on paper] charters will be pusued
- To enhance the livelihood of rural residents.
- To achieve 100% coverage in basic amenities, utilities and infrastructure for rural residents .
- To ensure that rural residents my benefit 100% from information and communication technology.
and that our brothers and sisters continue to live in hardship.

Lulu can only hope that MMT has a close encounter with the Almighty and repents of his way and carries out his responsibilities in the most noble and caring manner.

Lulu does not have a good feel about this.
sigh...

Lulu Sometimes A Bit Too Optimistic

Lulu really thought a new dawn was coming.
really, really.

Lulu's now realised, its a lot worse.
At least in the opd days, it was lies-lies and more lies.
but now, truth is sprinkled with blatant lies to screw our minds.
Lulu, being of simple mind, is having trouble discerning the two.

Haris is right.
I urge that if we do not see an immediate end to the shameless attacks on our YBs, that we take the word out far and wide that we, the rakyat will, from 24th March, 2008, commence a boycott of all the MSM for a period of one week.

Its time to reform the media.
Lulu doesnt know how she's going to cope cos she's such a newspaper junkie, but she's not going to spend a sen on the papers the next 7 days. Lulu'll read it online. slowly-la...ha.... weaning off a daily habit is not so easy.

Lulu Wants To Protest For The Sake Of Protesting

aiyoh.... Lulu's feeling so encouraged by the amount of support the police has been giving protestors recently

re : Perak illegal assembly
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Azisman Alias, who was among the 200 uniformed personnel on duty, told reporters that the gathering did not have a permit and was illegal.
"We are not arresting anyone for now. Since things are calm here, we are using our discretionary powers to let them have their say,” he said.

re : Selangor illegal assembly
They stopped in front of a line formed by police Light Strike Force personnel about 150m from the main entrance to the building, continued with their protest and left peacefully about 20 minutes later.
Shah Alam Deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Shariff Abdul Wahid said police were aware of the planned gathering and confirmed that no permit had been issued for it.

re: Penang illegal assembly
When the demonstrators approached Komtar, they were told by George Town OCPD ACP Azam Abdul Hamid to disperse within five minutes.
Musa then explain to Azam that the protestors wanted to hand over a four-point memorandum to Lim, who was sworn into office four days ago.
But when Azam allowed a delegation from the group to do so, the leaders declined claiming that it was pointless to meet a chief minister who had made up his mind “to destroy the Malays”.
[lol! so duh! police even give in to their demand, then they say tak payah. talk about no action plan]

anyway, since the police is so cooperative, Lulu dont have to worry about acid spray, getting beaten up with a baton, made to squat in a black Maria, waiting for days to meet the lawyer, Lulu SHOULD seize the moment.
so, what should Lulu demonstrate for?
hmm....
Lulu did the think-think-think thing
ok
Lulu wants to protest/demonstrate that the new Selangor government provides free-of-charge to all anak Selangor above 30 years old tak kira bangsa atau jantina [drumroll please]
whatever tempe it is that self-appointed chief opposition leader, aka Mr Pembangkang Sifar who in the end became the Mr Pembangkang, is taking to keep his complexion smooth and radiant.
Apparently, tempe works even better than botox!

You think that's ridiculous?
Then what say you about those "Penang" chaps [note the inverted commas. they are there for a reason] who still "needed help" after 50 years of UMNO-nation protesting over being sidelined by less than a week old government. Not forgetting that the government [the new one-la] had met with 21 Muslim NGOs on that very morning and everyone came out of the meeting assured.
Isnt that more ridiculous than free tempe?

Since Lulu works in the day time, is hooked on the 8:30 Korean drama and the 10:45 Canto series, can we meet at 12:00 midnight for the perarakan? Look at it as not so hot and not so sunny. Can anyone get hold of Mr Smooth-and-Radiant? Would be great if he could join us!

TEMPE SELANGOR!!!!
HIDUP PARAS MUKA ANAK SELANGOR!!
Cheers everyone! Have a good day at work!

Lulu Wondering If A New Dawn Has Also Arrived For The Mainstream Media

These 2 online reports have set Lulu wondering.
http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Saturday/NewsBreak/20080315160308/Article/index_html
http://thestar.com.my/election/story.asp?file=/2008/3/15/election2008/20080315162342&sec=Election2008
Afterall, these are things which you may find in Malaysiakini, but who would have thought you could find these sort of writing in the NST and the Star?????

Pre-election time, the mainstream media (msm) spinned and spinned and spinned. It was amazing, the songs of glory heaped on the BN candidates. Lulu's ex-MP was glorified, and her current MP [YAY!YAY!YAY!] was villified [boo.... to the nasty people].
When dawn broke on Sunday, Lulu thinks one of the truth and realitiy that the MSM editors had to face was that it looks like the rakyat was not believing what the press had published.
And that hurt.
No longer could they publish rubbish [lol! it rhymes] and get away with it.
The time to speak some truth [ok-lah... we can't expect overnight changes] has come.

Lulu hopes this is the beginning of a more free and open press.
Lulu is enjoying this new dawn.
Thank You Malaysia!!! Lulu Loves You!

Lulu Wonders If Lee Chong Meng Would Fly Down To Penang And Fend The ShopOwners There

a protest by 1,000 UMNO members and supporters was held around the Komtar vicinity this afternoon.
What could they have been protesting? The NEP?
Can't be. The Chief Minister had already met with 21 Muslim NGOs and explained to them that he wants to rid the tainted-with-cronyism-and-corruption NEP. Mind you, not the NEP per say, but the [repeat after Lulu...] tainted-with-cronyism-and-corruption NEP. Lulu thinks the NGOs left the meeting with a good feeling of days to come.
So, what were those UMNO fellas protesting? Maybe they were protesting the do away of UMNOputera rights.

Anyway, Malaysiakini reports that most of the shops nearby including Maybank in Komtar were briefly closed.
Now... isnt this a "Lee Chong Meng" moment?
Shouldnt he fly down to Penang at once book a hotel meeting room, gather those affected to protest against public demonstrations and condemn UMNO for affecting the businesses?
It is his niche, right?

A little bit more update
Anil Netto's friend who is a personal eyewitness noticed this
One thing though - there was a slight awkwardness in the marches… and unfamiliarity… as if they were not from Penang, at least not from the island. They looked a little out of their familiar territory - just an observation.
A commentator said

The protester came in a number of busses from neighbouring state being a public holiday on Friday

hmm....

Lulu Is Like, "Gee, Don't These Guys Know That The Government That They Love So Much Has Decreed That 'Ini Bukan Budaya Kita'?"

NST reports that there are sms-es going around Penang about a protest.
Don't these kids watch RTM?
Didn't they see ugly shots of unpeaceful demonstrations taken from foreign countries?
Don't they know that the ruling party government has been telling the people that ini bukan budaya kita?
How dare they defy the government of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi [which is not necessarily led by him]?

Lulu can only guess who the dalangs are behind this.
And Lulu is quite sure that those dalangs are not going to be present.
They will be watching and cheering from their airconditioned office, ready with a statement to condemn the state government when their kuncus go riot.
Lulu pities the kuncus, treated as pawns in this horrible game. It is doubtful if they'll get police escort like what Mr "Madam Conderezza Rice, I WANT YOU TO COME OUT NOW" KJ got.

Lulu can only hope and pray that the moderate Malays will speak up and explain to those who do not properly understand and are wrongly influenced that there is no intention to marginalise, that if you are poor and in need, you will be helped. The poor will be better off, and the UMNOputeras will gain their contract in a fair tender via best offer and not best connection.

In case you're not a RTM viewer erh... like Lulu, here are some "Ini Bukan Budaya Kita" snippets

Lulu Doesn't Really Need To Wonder Why TV3 Didnt Air This Bit, Does She?

TV3 on the 8 o'clock news featured an interview of Chua Jui Meng bashing DAP.
Pity though, they didnt show the more exciting bit of his interview.
But since they didnt, and since Lulu saw it online in Malaysiakini, Lulu's going to post the more exciting bits which you dont get to watch on BNgovt controlled media.

btw, looks like the MCA winners are those who had their seats grabbed from them and given to OKT's men who in the end, lost the election. Ironic, isnt it?

Ex-MCA veep: Chinese have rejected Ka Ting
Soon Li Tsin Mar 13, 08 5:36pm
Former MCA vice-president Chua Jui Meng made a plea to current party president Ong Ka Ting to do the right thing and step down.

At a press conference in his Kuala Lumpur office today, Chua said the Chinese community has already "rejected Ong in the clearest possible manner."

"For the sake of MCA, please reconsider your decision not to step down. You must do the honourable thing. It is only politically ethical to take responsibility," he said.

Describing the party’s election defeat as "the darkest hour in our history", the former health minister said Ong placed his personal agenda above MCA and Barisan Nasional (BN).

"He dropped all the experienced and senior MPs who consistently delivered the votes and carried huge majorities even in the 1999 elections. They were taken out in name of rejuvenation.

Bakri seat
Chua then proceeded to give several examples including his own seat in Bakri which was the sole parliamentary seat lost in the BN stronghold of Johor.

"I was taken out, the president did not even call me. I built up this parliamentary seat since 1986 which I won for five terms.

"What was the reason? Bakri was a strong division with 13,000 members. People said if I stood, they would support me, not the party," the seasoned politician related.

In 2004, Chua defeated DAP’s Azhari Ismail by a massive 19,059 majority.

However, in the elections that just ended, Ong picked Tay Puay Chuan from the Muar division who lost by 722 votes to DAP’s Er Teck Hwa.

Chua also said that Ong had picked new faces to contest in order to secure their votes to retain his president position in the party elections due to take place in three month’s time.

Silent politics
Another reason why MCA did so poorly was because Ong remained silent on many important issues that were besieging the Chinese community, according to Chua.

"He remained silent when people expected him as party president to speak up for the community. All he would say is that he would discuss this behind closed doors

"A silent politician is no politician. Silent politics is equivalent to zero politics. We paid for that big mistake he made," he asserted.

He added if MCA does not address the problem in its leadership, the party will suffer "a tsunami together with a tornado" in the next general election

Relations between Ong and Chua had soured since the latter challenged the former for the MCA presidential post in the 2004 party elections.

However Chua lost and has been sidelined by the party since then. He went on to focus on his business ventures soon after.

Asked whether he would make a political comeback, he smiled and answered: "I don’t think so. I’m thoroughly enjoying my time now."

Lulu Did A Google On Recovering Shredded Documents

hope that the bags have not left the room.
cos there is technology out there which can help piece the shreds back

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/112550/computers-uncover-shreds-of-history.html
http://www.churchstreet-technology.com./
wouldnt it be great if the incoming Selangor Government could send the shreds to be pieced back?
Khir Toyo... not time for you to be arrogant-lah. Know that there is a God and he will deal with you in His time.

Lulu Breathes A Sigh Of Relief

Lulu's glad boycott cancelled and apology rendered.

BTW a lot of people have lost perspective over the issue. The objection was not the candidate's race or religion [remember, they were ok with the PKR choice?) but that the chosen MB belongs to a party which has the intention to form an Islamic state.
DAP is on one end of the secular/religious spectrum, and PAS is on the other pole. DAP has to answer to the rakyat why a PAS representative was chosen to head the state. And when Lulu says "the rakyat", do not think that this is a Chinese/Indian thing as there are Malays who do not agree to an Islamic state.

Lulu's been reading comments on other blogs and egroups. A lot of profanities were used. Please, when commenting, you can scold-scold-scold, but no profanity please.

Thanks

Lulu Prays That Your Children Will Never Not Get What They Deserve For Reasons Of Gender And Race

Try to imagine this

Your daughter goes to SMK XYZ.
It is a co-ed school. But not always. It started out as a boys school, and 10 years ago, it was converted to a co-ed school.
Every year, the school gives out the "student of the year" award. The award is given to the student who gets the highest score in the final exams.
All the years in its existense, the award had always gone to a boy.
Suddenly, this year, when the final year exa results were tabulated, your daughter scored the highest points.
WOW! Your whole family rejoices!
Then the school calls your home.
Tells you that the award has to be given to be given to a boy because it turns out in the constitution left over from the all-boys day was that the award winner is refered to as a boy. There is no provision for a girl to be the "student of the year".
Your daughter accepts the verdict. She has no choice.
but you cant really blame her, her friends and probably yourself, for feeling that life is kinda unfair, and that merit is merit regardless of gender.

pssst..... Lulu Tell You Where You Can Meet The PJU Winners Tonight

Lulu got this little notice in her email.

DAP PJU MP and state assemblymen will have walkabout at 6pm tomorrow at SS2 night market

[tomorrow as in today Monday-lah...]
Go there if you want to catch them!
Go!
Go!
Go!

Lulu will probably not be able to go cos she's nursing a cold + having been out of office for a long, long time, there's a huge backlog of work to complete.

Lulu Wonders... Macam Mana Dengan Khir Toyo?

[in case the print too small]

Beliau [Datuk Seri Mohd.

Lulu's Excited About The Kind Of Dirt Left Behind In The Selangor MB + Exco Office

In their wildest dreams, those goons from Selangor (and also Lulu) never ever thought that they'd be out of office by Sunday.
They probably thought that they'd go through the motion of an election - cast vote, shake some hands, carry some babies, and return to work like normal on Monday.

So, most probably, they did not clean up their office on Friday.
Left all kinds of interesting documentation lying all over the office.
All kinds of offers.
Non tendered projects.
Deals
Appointments with "kind benefactors"
oo-wow-wee!!!

When the doors open for Tan Sri Khalid and his new line-up, wow! there'll be so much trail left behind, those goons are probably shaking in their pants.
Lulu wish she could be there....

two examples of goons from Selangor, in case you cannot imagine,
btw, an sms joke
If you see a man wondering helplesly and aimlessly, a Selangorian of Javanese origin, white hair, short, clean face and thinks he is handsome, contact the police. He has the keys to the MB's office!

Lulu Thought DAP would have 2 State Chiefs

so, this piece of news really surprised Lulu - that the MB would be from PAS.

Lulu made some phonecalls (like real... well, 2 phonecalls are considered phonecalls with a plural s) to find out what happened.

A friend explained to Lulu that most states have a law which says that the MB must be a Malay, hence, the PAS guy was chosen.

sad isnt it, these racial laws?
Arent we all anak Bangsa Malaysia?

yesterday, we denied the Barisan 2/3 majority and captured 5 states.
tomorrow, we will work our way to getting rid of racial politics

HIDUP MALAYSIA!!!

Meet Lulu's New MP

Has Lulu Solved The "Who Are The Kena Conned Villagers?" Mystery?

someone out there conned some innocent, blur villagers from Perlis, Kedah and Kelantan. That someone(s) told them that they would not be allowed to vote if they did not have the ink mark on their fingers.
Some of you may think that this is unbelievable.
So, there are now some voters out there walking around with the ink mark on their finger, even before polling day!
As a result, our very honourable and trustworthy EC has cancelled the usage of indellible ink.
Because of that.
Not because the law on indelible ink has not been enacted (see Malaysiakini EC's fragile reputation suffers another blow), making its usage optional, but because there are some villagers from Perlis, Kedah and Kelantan who have been marked.

so, that set Lulu thinking....
Lulu think-think-think
three states were mentioned...
hmmm....
three
three
three
AHA!!!! Could it be that these three girls
are from Perlis, Kedah and Kelantan?

come on... didnt any one of you wonder how those GP girls EC girls are going to vote in March when the EC boss marked them in Feb?
even more twist to the mystery... could this chap be one of those "some irresponsible people"?
yummy... another twist to the mystery

... And You All Thought Lulu Lived In La-la-land

Lulu's incumbent is definetly a resident of la-la land

from Malaysiakini
3. Will you support that Petronas' accounts be made public?
Chew: I thought they already have their annual report. I thought the annual report is actually the accounts for (listed) companies to disclose to everybody.

12. Will you support the idea of abolishing the New Economic Policy (NEP)?
Chew: I thought the NEP has already ended. The most important thing is that we must make sure that [...] you can actually help one particular race but in the expense of the other race. Everybody must be given a chance to have their own business and work together to create a win-win situation.

Yet Again, Lulu Does Math...

According to the Election Offences Act 1954, a parliamentary candidate can only spend a maximum of RM200,000 while a state candidate only RM100,000 in total election campaign expenditure.

109 pages in a booklet = 55 photostated pages
x0.02sen = RM1.10/booklet
x50,000 booklets = RM55,000

no, she hasnt broken the budget yet, but that's already more 1/4 of her budget, spent glorifying the moments that she is proud of, with little mention of her contribution on policies and direction for the nation.

The booklet is called "her greatest coup". Going by the response of DAP's ceramahs, Lulu would think that the booklet does nothing to justify her as a parlimentarian, but instead highlights everything wrong about her.

btw,
did you see the 3 page "advertorial" on her in the Star metro?
it wasnt news-la... it was an advertisment made to look like news for her.
Lulu has today's star, check-check-check but did not see the Chew denies smearing Pua's rep article which is available online. If you see it, could you tell Lulu which page it is on? thanks
what is the "Chew denies" thing about?
the desus-desus is that she called someone [no prizes for guessing who] a "self-claimed economist" and that his decision to sell his Singapore-listed IT company was that of a "bubble economist" during a campaign speech in Kampung Chempaka recently.
She now says, “I did not mention any names in my speech so why should he (Tony) feel slighted?”
wonderful, isnt she? Lulu's going-going-gone MP.
Please, please, vote for change!

Lulu's Urgent Call For Polling and Counting Agents

please help spread the word

what would you do with a kertas undi which looks like this?

who do you think the voter was voting for?
is it mau roket atau tak mau roket? how would you interpret this?
hmm...

[lulu learnt this recently]
did you know that when the polling station is closed, the box is emptied out and the counting process begins.
the returning officers will open the ballots in front of the observers appointed by the candidates (aka counting agents). those indicating the rockets are placed into the rockets tray, and dacing macam cacing into their tray.
for votes which are not so clear cut aka "undi ragu", the two counting agents will make the call on whose tray the vote belongs to.

if there is no rocket agent, the vote will [but of course] go to dacing macam cacing.

that is why the role of the counting agents is so very important.
cannot play-play
if no counting agent, then youknowho will get those votes.
AND Lulu doesnt want to see that happen.
fair is fair. Lulu will not act and insist on a vote which looks like the cacing's. but if no one is there to watch the proceedings, do you think the rocket will have a fighting chance in this race?

so, please-please-please, make yourselves available as polling agents [more on polling agents here] and counting agents on Saturday.

The DAP team for PJ will be conducting training these next two days.
Mon 8:30pm
Tue 8:30pm

DAP Damansara office @ 55-M, SS21/1A

016-2208867

Please come for the training.
We need more polling and counting agents to help ensure the process of a free and fair elections.

urgent-lah....
