Health Minister Dr Chua Soi Lek today openly admitted that he was the person featured in a video depicting a man having sex with a woman purportedly in a hotel room.
However, he said that he will not resign as health minister but will instead let Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi decide on his fate.
"I serve at the pleasure of the prime minister," he said. "I will not allow (other) people to jeopardise or obstruct my duties."

“I am relinquishing my position as health minister, MCA vice-president, Labis MP, Johor MCA liaison chief and Batu Pahat MCA division chief.”

the honourable and respectable OngKaTing says that it’s the prime minister’s prerogative (to pick the Chua's successor from the list he submitted).
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/76581PM however has said he has left it to MCA to decide on Chua's replacement. MCA was holding its presidential council meeting to discuss Chua’s resignation while the premier was talking to the media.
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/76605Smoke, smoke, all that smoke, who's bluffing us? They both probably are.
If Lulu were to pick who's the bigger bluff, Lulu would pick the one who also said, “The presidential council regretfully accepts and respects his decision to be accountable for his actions,"
Ooooooo Chua Soi Lek, not only should he have [to quote
Khoo Kay Peng] kept his pants zipped up, he should be careful who he turns to when in moments of trouble.
What do you think of the question Uncle Kit posed?
Sudden demise of fastest-rising star in political firmament - was Chua Soi Lek victim of double betrayal?Lulu thinks he was.
Smoke, smoke, all that smoke. We can see that Chua Soi Lek cheated his wife. But who cheated Chua with all this "bad" advise?
btw, Lulu belongs to the camp that believes he needs to resign after being caught with his pants down.
the "what two consenting adults do in private" does not hold water for Lulu as this consenting adult is supposed to be a public figure and a role model for children.
It definetly does not help that he goes around dispensing advise like, "Practise safe sex and be faithful to your partner"
hereAnd those who have no problems with what two consenting adults do in private should also have no problems if Chua's replacement indulges in what two consenting men (or women for that matter) do in private.
For Lulu, morality counts when a person is a public figure, be it a politician or a church leader.
Updated 7:06amChua's sorriness is akin to a boy who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He does not think his biggest mistake was cheating on his wife but "My biggest mistake was that I stayed in the hotel and in the same room for convenience. Next time, when you stay in a hotel, good luck to you.". Quote from the
