Datin Latifah confessed that she had mentally prepared herself for a loss.
But if they knew that they could lose, why did Datuk Arif continuously maintain to voters that he would win?She said: 'I can't just tell everyone that we are prepared to lose. We have to tell our supporters, workers and party machinery that we can win this because if not, nobody has the motivation to work.
'We were prepared to lose but we still want to carry out the fight... No one should give up.'

If what he is confessing is the truth, then he's a mega
If he was already so yes-man 10 years ago, can y0u imagine the magnitude of damage caused by his yes-man-ness these past 5 years whenever he receives a call from the son-in-law who claims that the Malays were being ditindas-ed in Penang under his chief ministership.
boy-o-boy...Koh in trying to drag Anwar's name into the mud just jumped into the mud pond.

"In Islam, it is enough to say the three holy words – wallahi, wabillahi, watallahi. There is no need to hold the Quran,"
The Star Nik Aziz: Swearing on Quran not Islamic practice
erhm... Lulu has been a Christian for many years now, and she has never sworn on the bible before.
neither have any Christians she knows.
The bible teaches us,
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Matt5:37
God's command is for us to be people of our word. We are to mean what we say. Fullstop. No need to swear-swear here and there.
must be the influence of American shows cos those lawyer-lawyer show always show the witness putting their hand on the bible and swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

"The Permatang Pauh people will benefit, you can see it happen (such as this allocation)," he told reporters after the launch of the BN Youth election machinery in Permatang Pasir.
Arif Shah, who is also the Seberang Jaya state assemblyperson, appealed to voters to give him a chance as he said he will then be able to have more allocations to develop the constituency.
"Although I am the Seberang Jaya state assemblyperson but in the state government, I am the opposition. I don’t have the allocation.
Malaysiakini - Goodies roll in, RM1 mil for Chinese schools
It is blatantly obvious why Penang is not getting any allocation.
Arif Shah, being from UMNO, of all people should know that allocation is controlled at Federal level.
The PM and the Second Finance Minister, both Penang MPs, would rather withold the allocation from the people than to allow the Opposition-led Penang state government decide how to spend the money.
Voters in Pematang Pauh need to understand that even though these next 10 days they're going to be given and promised all kinds of things [like how Arif Shah says he can get more allocation to develop the constituency], but at the end of the day, even IF Arif Shah wins, Pematang Pauh is going to get no better than the voters in Kepala Batas and Tasek Gelugor.
Voters in Pematang Pauh should just take what Amir Shah and gang are offering and cast their votes independant of that lest their offering is misconstrued as a bribe.

Majikan saya Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim - Ketua Umum PKR."note that very important perkara ini berlaku tampa kerelaan saya.
Today, our very hurt kononnya raped/sodomised victim, went to the mosque and swore that [using the original statement to ensure nothing is lost in translation]
Lulu gets it but at the same time, does not get it.
Why is the AG chambers so set on charging Anwar under Section 377B, where anyone who voluntarily commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature, which is punishable by jail term which may extend to 20 years, and whipping,".
The boy has consistently said that it was tampa kerelaan.
If his swearing at the mosque is of any value, for us to take as his solemn i'm-not-lying oath, why should the charge be Section 377B? is it not under Section 377C, where someone commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature on another person without the consent or against the will of the other person, for instance by putting the other person in fear of death or hurt,"?
AG Chambers also tak caya that this big strong healthy boy can be overpowered by an old man with a bad back?
Hasnt the Prosecution already lost their case as their star witness himself says it is not consensual?
If Lulu Is Part of This One Big Family, Then Lulu Must Be The Unloved and Much Bullied Step Daughter
The Star went as far as publishing a picture of him writing, "We are one big family" in Mandarin today.
lol! If Lulu is part of this one big family, then Lulu must be the unloved and much bullied step daughter.
Take a good look at what is written in that article which contains the publicity shot.
yes, this man belongs to a party whose principle is protecting the interests of the Malays.
Where does this leave the balance 31% voters in Pematang Pauh,
and the other 35% of Malaysians?
You know what this Amir Shah is?
Yup! a wolf in sheep's clothing!
"Such information is needed by both sides to prepare for arguments in the debate. It will not be fair if he has access to information and I don't," he said.
The Star - Koh to Guan Eng: Bring it on
in case Koh Tsu Koon has forgotten,
All official executive documents on land dealings in Abdul Rashid’s Komtar office were among the files that had allegedly gone missing from most executive councilors’ offices before the new state government was sworn in.
The present state government learnt about the land scam when perusing documents available at the state and district land offices, and state secretariat.
Insiders said initial random checks on previous land dealings had disclosed improprieties worth more than RM100 million.
Malaysiakini - Land scam tremor in Penang
note : KTK = Koh Tsu Koon, LGE = Lim Guan Eng
Lulu would not be surprised if the list of files which KTK wants made available to him will be returned with a "Fail Tidak Dapat Dicari", and if anything, confirms to the Pakatan government that the those files exists and have since Mar9th, mysteriously disappeared.
LGE, his team in Penang and the external auditors, with whatever little they have, have tried to dig into and understand the land transactions that have taken place, especially those in the last 5 years. LGE has tried to meet up with KTK on a more private basis having asked many times, writing to him, SMS-ing him and talking to his people but KTK has refused to meet him for many months now.
Hence the offer for an open debate as a last resort.
Hopefully, in this "debate", KTK will come out looking like the better informed person, able to explain clearly and simply how some of those dubious looking transactions took place.
Afterall, he is the better informed person, having been the Chief Minister when all this was taking place.
In the meantime, Lulu strongly urges KTK to contact his UMNO "buddies" for the files and more information. They have the info and the files. lol! they may even be related to the people who "bought" the land.
KTK should also make that set of information to the Penang government. That would be the right thing to do.

Afterall, the UMNO individuals dont seem too keen in the embarassment of losing,
none of them [other than Ezam] want to run,
and poor Samy, MIC president without a constituent,
amd since he has such confidence in his charisma, charm and contribution in the lives of the 5.7% of Pematang Pauh voters.
Dont you agree?
Samy Vellu for Pematang Pauh!!!

You could end up with a gem,
Saturday, August 09, 2008
As it was also the opening ceremony of the Olympics, we sat and watched the opening ceremony, totally awed by the whole presentation.
When the fireworks came on, someone commented that the Chinese invented fireworks, and it is "but of course" that they would come up with this beautiful display.
they, the Chinese.
Then "today" happened.
Some people just don't understand.
People like Lulu, we're Malaysians.
We sing Negaraku, not [whatever the Chinese national anthem] is.
We were born here, not China.
We're Malaysians, not Chinese.
I don't know if you get what we are saying.
We see ourselves as Malaysians.
Not Chinese. Or Indian, or Arab or Indonesians and so on.
We never identified with China, India, Arab or Indonesia other than it being the country where our forefathers came from.
Why do some people continue to scream, “balik China”?
It's hateful, it's hurtful and it is so, so wrong.

The answer was,
Bagi tempoh 24 Februari sehingga 7 Mac 2008, jumlah perbelanjaan untuk penggunaan jet eksekutif adalah sebanyak RM792,325.20.
ref: A Little Piece Of News Lulu Suspects You May Have Missed Out
a bit more reliable reference : Jetsetting PM & DPM
Lulu's now wondering what the bill would be for the PM's jet travels between Aug 16-26.
Is this part of the "By-election will be costly" worries that Syed Hamid Albar is concerned over?
btw, Syed Hamid seems to be talking rubbish all over that article. Lulu knows, these BN politicians are prone to speaking rubbish, but it still surprises Lulu.
Syed Hamid said,
“If (former MP) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had said earlier that she was giving way to Anwar, then the voters may have decided differently then."
If Lulu remembers right, Dr Wan Azizah's voters have always known of this option all the way back from the 1st time she ran in the 1999 elections.
He also said,
“Maybe PAS can offer one of their seats instead to Anwar"
erhh... he seems to have confused Parlimentary elections with party elections. In Parlimentary elections, the people vote when the seat is vacated. In his [Syed Hamid's] party elections, though it is not the correct thing to do, the trend is to appoint your successor when you announce your intention to vacate, totally disregarding the member's right to vote.
How can PAS offer a seat to Anwar without running a "costly affair" by-election?
Langsung tidak masuk akal

When Lulu saw today's papers, with the "PM: Talks did not touch on forming govt" headlines, Lulu at first thought that maybe the PM had ter-tidured when Khir Toyo, the dunwanna give up loser, was offering PAS the portfolios if they were willing to go into an alliance with UMNO.
Afterall, our Islam Hadhari Prime Minister wouldn't lie, right? Maybe fall asleep-la, but not lie lah.
Then Lulu did a search on the PAS-UMNO discussions in/for Selangor, and was reminder with clear evidence from Sleepy Head himself that power sharing was discussed.
How-la-ah? Once again, out of the 27 million Malaysians, why did we have to end up with the village idiot for Prime Minister?

Knowing the Malaysia Boleh spirit, the government will make it a Malaysia Paksa policy.
