Lulu's Pathetic Loser List [2]

Normal people become MP through the ballot box. Whilst there is some hue and cry about the fairness of the election process - the ruling party having the advantage of man, money & machinery, the missing opposition candidate and the [not-so-secret] secret weapon, the postal votes, that's how most people [both the normal and not so normal] get elected into parliament.

However, pathetic loser list [2] has gotten in differently.

In 1995, Lee Chong Meng ran and lost in his attempt to be the Member of Parliament for Bukit Bintang.
In June 1995, however, he filed a petition seeking a declaration that Wee Choo Keong had not been properly elected. Dr Lee said a RM7,000 fine imposed on Wee earlier for contempt of court disqualified him from being a candidate. On Aug 2, 1995, then election court judge Datuk (now Tun) Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim [made doubly famous thanks to the Lingam tape] decided in Dr Lee's favour. Wee was disqualified, and to everyone's surprise, instead of calling for a by-election, Lee Chong Meng, who had lost the election, was declared the rightful Bukit Bintang MP.

Is this pathetic loser hoping for 2nd time lucky?

He lost by a 14,000 margin. Another case of, for every person who voted for him, two did not vote for him. And not all the 12,000 people who voted him are in the Bukit Bintang area as there are 5,500 postal voters, of which LCM claims 90% support.

Gosh... IF he does get 2nd time lucky, would he dare to walk the BB area unescorted, knowing how unloved he is?

Pathetic, truly pathetic

even if he is to get another 10K votes in his bag... he would still lose the election... period...

Fairuz is no longer around does not mean there are no more corrupted sick to the bones judges.
They are still plenty of such corrupted judges around.
The Lingam tape only exposes a small part of such "system".
We cannot be naive to think that only a few judges was tainted.

lee will be lee same as mca will be mca. They are all 'riding" on the system for self gains.

No sense of shame to resort to same trick.

This time around, with the turn of events with the judiciary - hopefully, the case can be judged without fear and favour.

I think the judge maker already swimming (maybe even drowning) in hot shit !!
