The weekend papers reported that everyone's favourite son-in-law joining the chorus of calls for Petronas' accounts to be made public. “I will bring it up in Parliament and will ask the Government to make it public,”
Two days later, Petronas president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican informs that Petronas has been publishing its annual report for the past 18 years and it is easily available, including on its website.
it's like o-wow! For years, months, weeks and days, people have been calling for the Petronas accounts to be made public.
Suddenly, one well-connected arrogant person opens his mouth, and oo... we're told where to find the accounts.
Amazing, isnt it?
That got Lulu thinking.
1. KJ open his mouth, Petronas boss felt the pressure cos it's KJ, and responded.
2. KJ knew Petronas was going to make an announcement [cos KJ knows everything], knew that he's losing this battle, joined the populist calls to look like a hero.
hmm... chicken or egg?
btw, did anyone watch the Petronas boss's interview on telly last night? Lulu caught a bit of it. The bit where Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican said that it's up to the PM to give the green light.
If KJ really wants the public to know the details, he should tell his father-in-law to make it public. That is, if he really wants the public to know. And this is actually a good time, cos whatever mismanagement uncovered can be blamed on the previous administration aka DrM.
