Lulu thinks the PM was trying to impress us when he said that OKT's decision does not surprise him as he is intelligent enough to have caught the many hints that OKT has dropped.
The Star reports that
“In the past Datuk Ong had hinted such issues to me; (he) used to drop hints,” he told reporters after launching the Bumi Hijau programme here yesterday.
As such, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said he was not too surprised to hear of Ong’s decision and that of MCA deputy president Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy not to seek re-election.
now, now.... isnt the PM the head of Barisan Nasional?
Wouldn't / Shouldn't OKT have gone to consult him, or at least inform him of his intention to not seek reelection?
Afterall, as useless as the MCA may be, they're still a component of MCA of which the PM is boss.
If not for advise, then at least for courtesy sake, rather than have this head of Barisan find out through his aides who probably found out via a bernama sms news alert?
Sounds like OKT "see him no up" and PM mega-failed in his attempt to look intelligent.
Our nation's PM, instead of looking like someone intelligent and able to catch the hints, ends up confirming our suspision that he does not command the respect of his subordinate-partners and is not in control of his coalition.
