Footnote taken from The Trouble With Malaysia, a Brian Yap essay from the book New Malaysian Essays 1
While much of the debate in Parliament is about as intelligent as those in the schoolyard, some members of Parliament outdo their colleagues.
Badruddin Amiruldin referred to Indian Malaysians as "keeling", a degratory term he insisted was not meant as an insult.
Bung Mokhtar and Mohamad Said Yusuf, on the other hand, reached the peak of notoriety when the two rebutted a statement by DAP's Fong Po Kuan (MP for Batu Gajah) by saying that she also leaked every month. That tasteless, if not juvenile remark, earned the two the ire of womens groups, political parties, including those in the BN.
