Footnote taken from The Trouble With Malaysia, a Brian Yap essay from the book New Malaysian Essays 1
In July 2007, the 15th Nuri helicopter crash killed six members of the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
The Nuri helicopters were first used in a time when May 13 was the day after May 12 - 1968. That was when the current Deputy Prime Minister's father was holding the same position.
Since then, it has killed 70 military personnel and 19 civillians.
Despite calls for the helicopter to be grounded immediately after every crash, they are still being used.
