Rashid Bill - Lulu's MP Couldn't Vote Cos She's In The Hospital

how did your MP Vote?

the Rashid bill calls for an "ammendment" in the constitution to change the retirement age of the Election Commission Chairman to 66. It is also of no coincidence that the current chairman is at that pivitol point.

Haris of the People's Parliament led an initiative for Malaysians to write to their MPs . He urged us to write to our MP and tell him or her that we want him to vote against the amendment bill. That we will check Hansard to make sure that if he or she speaks during the second and third reading of the bill, that he or she speaks against the bill.
Afterall, like what Haris says, our MP is there to represent us and not the party.

28 MPs were written to.
The MPs of Ampang, Ulu Langat, Tambun, Rasah, Pasir Gudang, Santubong, Gombak, Ipoh Timor, Subang, Bukit Bendera, Kelana Jaya, Bukit Katil, PJ Selatan, PJ Utara, Titiwangsa, Seputeh, Puchong, Ipoh Barat, Lembah Pantai, Jelutong, Bintulu, Cheras, Segambut, Selayang, Serdang, Batu Kawan, Miri and Shah Alam received letters from their constituents appealing them to say no to the bill.

What did we get?
We got a full attendance in Parliament yesterday!
According to the Sun, 189 voting in favour, including the sole Independent. This means 188 (out of the 198) BN MPs were in attendance at Parliament yesterday, setting a new record. A full house in Parliament!
All attending to vote in favor for the bill which people have written in to their MPs appealing to them to vote against.
All attending to vote in favor for the bill in spite of knowing what 40,000 Malaysians very public stand on what the issue is.

All attending to vote in favor for the bill because their political masters commanded them to.
You still want to vote for them?
Remember, they serve their political masters, not us.

[poster from mob1900, slightly edited cos ALL of them are like that]

Even if CMF was not in hospital , she would have raised all her hands and legs and shouts "sokong sokong sokong " , even if the bill is meant to sell her own mother to her um-no bosses !

actually i don't understand, why aab doesn't propose a bill that all parties other than bn (or umno ) are illegal and should be banned, and get 189 mps vote for this. so easy, and guarantee umno rules forever. then he will outlive all his predecessors without headache.

MP
==
Thinking of:
What are their Oath before taking the office?
What are their job specifications for their office?
Any breach of Oath or Duty?
Can they be taken to court and so off the Duty?

I almost forget to check if Court are on Duty!!
Or any lawyer for justice!!

Hope the Bill still need to go through Agong and at least be one to stop it!!

Any MP absenting him/herself or voting against yesterday's bill would be dropped from contesting in the general elections and would have to busk along Jalan Puduraya for a living. Pity the poor sods...

You're right!
Now that the cat is out of the bag, I'm sure that someone who monitors blog sites for the BN will report back to the PM to do just that!
Should Lulu delete this posting before they get wise to it?!

that was a cool suggestion by denzook! They should have done that long ago and then align our country with the other Communist comrades. At the rate China is going, that's not a bad thing after all!

We need the check and balance for good governance.
Please do your part. Please call upon all friends and relatives to vote for the Opposition.
We need to send the right candidates to parliment to voice up for us.
Penang and Jelutong voters, we need more supports to reject BN parasites going into the Parliment.
