Lulu Loves A Good Mystery - Updated

this is more of a scandal than a mystery-ya?

hopefully, ALL will be revealed.
hopefully, they'll be able to come up with hard facts and concrete evidence
hopefully, they'll also cover the Kota Kemuning-Federal Highway no-tender concession.
hopefully, there'll be names.
hopefully, they get to hold the press conference.
hopefully-hopefully-hopefully we'll never ever enter into this kind of concessions ever-ever again.
as of 3:30pm, Lulu still in the dark as to whether the Sidang Media: Pendedahan Perjanjian Konsesi Tol took place or not. No updates on Malaysiakini, JeffOoi or Keadilan's site.
6:00pm JeffOoi has an update at For whom the tolls toll?
Malaysiakini has an update at Toll agreement: Secret document revealed
The document that they received was the contract between the government and Litrak.

Some highlights :
1. The gist of it is that it is highly unlikely the government's claim to that it was negotiating with the concessionaire to reduce the toll rates is true as the rates have been fixed under the agreement for the entire concession period of over 30 years from 1998.
2. There is no need to play the berapa naik, bila naik guessing game as it has already been spelt out in the agreement
For passenger car using the LDP
1998 - 2006 RM1.50 [this was reduced to RM1.00+million RM compensation after public protest]
2007 - 2015 RM2.10 [lulu guesses that there is more compen$ation as the revised rate is RM1.60}
2016 - end RM3.10
3. Tian Chua got the document from "People who passed on this contract to us take a lot of risks". The authorities might put the seal of the Official Secrets Act (OSA) on this agreement later and the OSA can be enforceable retrospectively. Yes - per OSA, they can back track the stamp and make you guilty just like that.

Tian Chua said that the 200-page agreement was signed on April 23, 1996.
Lulu knows who the PM was then, and the Roads Minister. hmm... who was the Finance Minister? Can someone enlighten this Lulu please?

OT: CNN TV just has it that S'pore sent two planes to help search for that really lost Indonesian Boeing 737. Where's M'sia's contribution(to help keep humanitarian hope alive)? Because the gomen is on leave or that the drums aren't ready?

OSA is enforceable retroactively? Huh. I did not know that.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Keadilan; in fact, I have little respect for them. But this is a pretty gutsy move. No doubt the government will want to make an example out of someone.

A BN repeat of the massive 2004 election win looks increasingly unlikely day after day. Not saying they'll lose, but there's no way they'll be able to meet the same scale of victory, especially after everything we've seen (or not seen) from the government since '04. I'm not sure if I should be pleased or worried about that.

Only in Bodohland can a minister be caught lying outright and yet be deemed too indispensable to be removed. This being the standard of morality and accountability from the fish head.

The scorned and rudderless populace must accept this and also get to be towering achievers too. Similarly immoral and predatory and opportunistic achievers maybe possible.
